Here is my repo list for reference: # | Alias | Name | Enabled | GPG Check | Refresh | Priority Those repos often causes incompatible packages. But also I generally suggest to avoid community repos containing "home:" since in the past they broke a lot of things since they are not official maintained by the openSUSE team and therefore some random dude is responsible for it, testing and such. This should handle the stuff accordingly. Sudo zypper dup -allow-vendor-change -allow-downgrade -l Sorry for posting about this noob-mistake which came from me prematurely downloading a bunch of software from the OBS and not reading properly. My question is, are you not supposed to subscribe to the repositories that are associated with the packages you download from - I thought that was necessary in order to keep them updated? I guess it would be better to keep the bare necessary repos and draw the rest of the available software packages from e.g. Also I gave the packman repo the priority 1. (Following the wiki I unintentionally re-added the packman repo thinkin I did something wrong the first). I read about vendor changes in the wiki and already changed all system packages to the packman repository. This apparently lead to my repo list being bloated with 3rd party repositoriesĪnd the zypper up output: The following 206 package updates will NOT be installed. When asked if I wanted to subscribe to the corresponding repository I always just clicked continue without changing the default value. Until now I installed some packages from the web interface with 1-click-install (is there a command line way to search ?). My problem is now, that I don't yet seem to understand how to use it the right way. I just recently switched manjaro to openSUSE and I like it very much so far.Īs I come from Manjaro and therefore was used to the AUR, I was very happy about the OBS and the amount of packages made available this way.
